Residency requirements are: Be a resident of the city of Grand Saline OR Be a resident of Van Zandt County; OR Reside within 10 miles of the city of Grand Saline’s boundaries and in a county bordering Van Zandt County.

    • The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Board is seeking to appoint new board members.

    • The Parks & Recreation Board is seeking to appoint new board members.

    • The Planning and Zoning Board is seeking to appoint a new board member.

  • 10-21-2025: There will be a regularly scheduled Meeting of the City Council for the city of Grand Saline Tuesday, October 21, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at 318 Saline Street, Grand Saline, Texas 75140. The public is welcome to attend.

    Join us for shopping on Main Street and the annual Lighted Christmas Parade. Events begin at 4 p.m. Parade line up: 5 p.m. Parade starts 6 p.m. This years’ theme is β€œPeace on Earth.”

If your dog or cat is ever lost, registration makes it easy to identify the owner and helps prevent your pet from being sent to the Mineola Animal Shelter. Pet registration can save you from costly shelter fees and, most importantly, helps reunite you with your furry friend faster. Registration is available through the Grand Saline Police Department at the low cost of $10.
